When the Shaanxi Chinese offices were launched in 2016, ACIMEX intended to develop its tunnel activity. Setting up an office in China would allow better opportunities, with the presence of our representatives, ready to meet with clients and prospects. Drawings would always be achieved by the French Design Office, but manufacturing would happen within our Chinese workshop, thus offering faster execution and a speedier delivery to clients. After four years, expectations have been more than exceeded.
Numerous fields of production for ACIMEX in China
After a first commercialization phase focused on tunnel, Shaanxi’s Sales Services were able to widen their search to reach other domains, such as metallurgy or precast concrete. As a consequence, ACIMEX lifters and their vacuum technique are becoming more and more successful : turnover has tripled between 2016 and 2020.
Wind power, metallurgy and energy : ACIMEX is a jack of all trades
Among the most innovative projects are three vacuum lifters for wind turbine blades : this product, ordered by the GUOCHANG company, unmolds the tip part of the blade, which weighs 13,9T and measures 68,80 M long. After the successful outcome of the SINOMATECH project, ACIMEX confirms here its success in the wind power sector.
In the metallurgy field, four vacuum lifters for aluminium sheet were recently delivered to one of NOVELIS Zhenjiang’s plants. Once again, it is because the client was given the possibility to have a custom-made project, completely adapted to its needs, that our team won the contract.
Energy finally stands out, with two machines made for the North China Petroleum Steel Pipe company. Already the owner of a first lifter bought back in 2018, the NCPSPC decided to buy two other lifters in order to complement its lifting tools, set to equip one of their new upscale automated plants. These two machines allow the handling of 18T tubes.
Other projects are about to emerge. Asia shows a lot of interest for the French know-how, and ACIMEX has managed to prove its trustworthiness abroad, owing to its responsiveness and efficiency.
