Handling tubes and pipes with ACIMEX

Owing to the Starlift equipment designed by ACIMEX, the handling of tubes and pipes is carried out without the slightest risk of damage, whatever dimensions, weight or material of the lifted loads.

Types of tubes and pipes lifted by ACIMEX devices

Whether they are concrete or steel tubes (coated or not), cast iron pipes, line pipes or wind tower segments, all heavy tubular loads can be handled using Starlift lifting devices manufactured by ACIMEX.

The tubes and pipes used for the construction of underground networks routing gas, oil or water, must not be damaged on the surface before being installed underground; hence the success of ACIMEX vacuum lifters. This multifunction equipment handles the movement, positioning, loading and unloading of one or more tubes in a single operation, without leaving the slightest mark or deformation.

The Starlift vacuum pipe lifter, a reliable piece of equipment

For several years now, ACIMEX has been supporting the construction of the French energy network, notably through the technical features of the French company's equipment for handling tubes and pipes.

The Starlift vacuum pipe lifter designed by ACIMEX serves, for example, to move and rotate tubes to allow their unloading and storage in complete safety, as well as their implementation onsite. In this case, the lifter is used as an accessory to a shovel or crane, and is used outdoors for the cladding of tubes.

It should be noted that the standalone pipe lifter allows tubular loads weighing up to 15 tonnes to be lifted. Consequently, it is ideally suited to the laying of pipes in excavations; an example of this is Bouygues, which currently uses a customized lifter manufactured by ACIMEX, capable of lifting pipes up to 50 meters long.
