A new Chinese customer for ACIMEX
SINOMA WIND POWER was founded in 2007 and quickly established itself as the leading manufacturer of Chinese wind turbine blades. This Beijing-based and listed stock-market company has seven factories in China, with an annual output of 4000 blades. This performance places it in the top ranks in the Chinese industry, and in the top three in the global blade production industry. Thanks to its investments in design and experimentation centers for Research & Development, SINOMA WIND POWER now offers a wide range of blades, ranging from 1 Megawatt to 3MW and is committed to developing new offshore / onshore blades from 5 to 6MW. Its ability to innovate, combined with compliance with the ISO9001 standard, also enables it to design and produce blade molds.
Two ACIMEX vacuum lifters for a sensitive mission
SINOMA WIND POWER chose the experience of ACIMEX for the handling of these finished products but also for the release of fiberglass skins, an important and delicate step due to the length and weight of the blades (34T for a complete blade). Here's the tailor-made global solution offered by ACIMEX for the supply of two vacuum lifting devices:
• The first manipulates the 82m long spar caps (mechanism that absorbs compression and tensile loads from the blade).
ACIMEX vacuum lifter n°1 is equipped with 17 double suction pads ; it measures 80m long, with a load capacity of 6.3T.
• The second unmolds the tip part of the blade, which weighs 16T and measures 85.6M in length. It will also be used later for the release of future lighter and smaller blades.
ACIMEX vacuum lifter n°2 has a maximum load capacity of 16T.
This collaboration is a very good international reference for the French SME, which has already been entrusted with other similar projects, particularly in France where many wind farms are being studied all over the French coast.
